Eydon Village Hall

Eydon Village Hall celebrates its centenary in 2026. The events which have unfolded so far include a village-wide Easter Egg Hunt for younger members of the community.

Following this a two day celebration on 17^th – 18^th April was held, consisting of an exhibition organised and run by Eydon Historical Research Group, the launch of the booklet ‘Centenary Celebrations – the History of Eydon Village Hall’, the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the centenary of the village hall and a celebration party with music supplied by DJ LongMouse, aka David Fitch-Peyton.

On 20^th June there was a Midsummer Dance with a big band led and compered by well-known Irish trumpeter and broadcaster Al Ryan. This evening was amazing and was the first time a big band has ever played in the hall.

The next event will be a Harvest Supper on 10^th October, in aid of St Nicholas Church and the village hall, organised by Eydon Ladies and assisted by Lyn Evans and members of the church congregation, with a topical display by Bert Manton.

In October there will be a Halloween Trail, for younger members of the community. The final event of the year is scheduled to be a Christmas Fayre which is planned to appeal to all members of the village community to end the centenary year on a high note.

The hall is in the centre of the village and offers facilities for parties, weddings, christenings and meetings. Local organisations like Eydon Players, the First Wednesday Club, Eydon Ladies and the Parish Council hold regular meetings and events in the hall.

Equipment such as tables and chairs may be hired from the hall, even if your event is not hosted there. Other services available include the use of a card reader for taking payments and setting up of QR codes for ease of booking and paying online for tickets for your events.
